Welcome to the website of Silas Nathaniel Huff, U.S. Army Officer and Bandmaster, orchestra conductor, composer, and teacher. Since November of 2011, 2nd Lieutenant Huff has held the position of Executive Officer and Associate Conductor of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Band (www.tradocband.com) at Fort Eustis, VA.

Always an ambitious musician, Maestro Huff guest conducts, teaches, writes, arranges, and composes whenever his busy Army schedule permits, and he enjoys close relationships with the Astoria Symphony Orchestra (NYC), Round Rock Symphony Orchestra (TX), and the International Conducting Institute. In addition, he recently completed his first book on conducting, The Tao of Conducting, which will be available on Amazon.com in the very near future.

Maestro/Lieutenant Huff is married to tween/young adult novelist Taylor Morris, and enjoys hiking, jogging, biking, competing in triathlons, traveling, and drinking strong European espresso.
